Richmond Design Group (formerly Richmond UX) was established in 2008 by a small team of UX professionals who were passionate about user experience. We have since expanded to over 900 members throughout Central Virginia.
Richmond Design Group offers educational and social opportunities for professionals to engage in all aspects of user experience. Our members come from various disciplines, including UX design, research, service design, UX strategy, UI design, human-computer interaction, information architecture, interaction design, content strategy, application development, usability, and product management.
The goals of Richmond Design Group are:
- To promote user-centered design to businesses, schools, non-profits, and other entities.
- To cultivate a community of UX professionals through knowledge sharing, professional development, and networking.
RDG depends on its members and partners to support the user experience community. It is a non-profit organization run by volunteer UX leaders, aiming to partner with related disciplines and organizations to advance user experience through research, education, advocacy, and community service.
