With ModevUX starting this upcoming Monday, you have only a few days left to take advantage of RichmondUX’s 25% registration discount. It’s looking like it’ll be a great event, and we hope to see you there! Our promo code is UX14RUX.
Giant Confererence
Fellow RUXster (and planning committee member) Bogdan Stanciu has a ticket for the upcoming conference in Charleston that he cannot use. As it was purchased early, it is available for $200 less than the current price. The conference runs June 11-14 and looks like another great event. Take a look and reply or DM him at @bog_dan if you are interested in going.
UserFocus 2014
Our friends at UXPA D.C. are ramping up for this fall’s UserFocus conference, and there are lots of opportunities to get involved already:
- The call for proposal submissions is open but closes soon (June 1st), and they are seeking proposals from both new and experienced UX practitioners.
- Every conference requires the help of volunteers, and UserFocus is no exception. If you’d like access behind the scenes and a chance to give back to the community, consider volunteering to review submissions or to help out at the conference itself.
- Last but not least, early registration is now open!

Follow-up to April’s Meetup
Whether you were able to attend last month’s presentation, Eye-tracking and the User Experience: What You Need to Know, featuring Jen Romano Bergstrom, we wanted to follow up with a few details:
- Jen’s book “Eye Tracking in User Experience Design” is available in both paperback and eBook formats from Amazon or direct from the publisher (for 25% less).
- Jen posted her presentation deck to Slideshare, including her presentation notes.
